Hannah Lawrence

Hannah is a runner at heart, loving the simplicity and challenging nature of the sport. She spent 5 years competing and training in Gunnison Colorado, USA. Initially this move was for an athletic scholarship to WSU. Following graduation she continued to compete at an elite post collegiate road and track racing until picking up an injury which forced her to give the running up. It was her determination and extensive cross-training during rehabilitation from this injury where she picked up cycling and swimming. Hannah quickly learnt the ropes as an age grouper, winning numerous national titles all the time wanting to be back in international competition.
Since this point Hannah has never looked back, racing at an elite level all over NZ, Australia and in the USA. Sports Lab is excited to have her onboard as one of our sponsored athletes as we see enormous potential in her career. We will be working closely alongside Hannah to make sure nothing gets in her way and her body is able to perform at the top level for many years to come!

Occupation: Pilates Instructor, Running Coach & Pro Triathlete

Sport: Triathlon - Half Ironman

Personal Best's:
  • Half Ironman / 70.3 - 4hrs 29min
  • Marathon - 2hrs 45min
  • 5km - 16min 34sec
Greatest Sporting Achievement: "For triathlon my greatest achievement would be my second placing at The Tauranga Half ironman in 2012, which at the time was our national Long Course Championships. Although I have won and placed in other bigger events this was my first big breakthrough in the Pro Ranks. It was a PB for me at the time and only my 3rd race as a PRO. In terms of my running it would have been my win at the NCAA D2 Cross-Country Championships while living and racing in the USA."

Goals: "After an exciting start to my Professional Triathlon Career I have had to deal with quite a few setbacks due to Injuries and illness, most recently a torn Plantar Fascia. So my goal for this year is to get back on the international podium and I am looking forward to working with the great team at Sports Lab to help me stay balanced and injury free and able to reach this goal!"
