What’s Happening at the Lab?
This year, we’ve had a series of events that have all coincided, which has meant I’ve had to step back and take stock before deciding how best to move forward.
Unfortunately, we have had a health issue arise in my family, which has resulted in me needing to be much more present at home and increase my ongoing support to my family.
This occurred concurrently with both challenges and exciting opportunities arising for others in the Sports Lab team and coincided with the long-term lease at Grafton being up for expiry.
After some reflection, I decided that my family needs to be the focus, and I needed to simplify the structure at the Lab to do that. It was definitely a hard decision to come to and not one taken lightly. I’m extremely proud of what we have built together as a team at Sports Lab, and I’m happy to say despite closing this chapter, Sports Lab isn’t closing, it’s simply evolving.
Ongoing services at Sports Lab
As of August 2025, Sports Lab is operating from a site in Remuera.
We are continuing to provide in-person support to our community, albeit in a streamlined and slimmed down model as the decision was made not to continue with either of the leases after they expired. We are continuing to support key events where we can and focus on increasing our online presence including expanding our digital service line offerings.
Our ongoing service offerings are:
• In-person and digital Physiotherapy sessions
• Biomechanical Assessment and Retraining
• Physiological Testing and Prescription for both sports and health & wellbeing
• Coaching for endurance athletes
• Return to Sport programs
• Postural Assessments and Retraining
Keep a close eye out for some new service lines we have in development and are excited to share with you soon!
Continuity of your care, and next steps for our staff
